Your Privacy Choices
Opt out of sharing, change cookie settings, or ask us for your data.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information for money, ever. We also do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
If you allow advertising cookies, some identifiers and browsing data may be shared with advertising partners. Under California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and several other state laws, that counts as a “sale” or as “sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising” even though no money changes hands. You can switch it off below, and we will not charge you or degrade the Site for doing so.
Opt out of sale and sharing
Any one of these works. You do not need to do all three.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control. We honour the GPC browser signal automatically. Install a browser or extension that sends it, see globalprivacycontrol.org, and the opt-out applies to that browser immediately, with nothing to submit.
- Use the cookie preferences control below to reject the Advertising & Targeting category.
- Email us at privacy@discobeverage.com with the subject “Opt Out of Sale and Sharing”. No account needed, and we will not ask you to create one.
A cookie-based opt-out is stored in the browser you use, so it does not follow you to another browser or device, and clearing cookies can clear it. An email opt-out is tied to your email address and persists.
Cookie preferences
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser directly. Our Cookie Policy lists every technology we use, what it does and how long it lasts, and links to each browser’s controls.
Note that the strictly necessary category cannot be switched off. It includes the local-storage entry that remembers you confirmed your age, without it the age gate would appear on every page.
Access, correct, delete or port your data
Depending on where you live you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from;
- give you a copy, in a portable format;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it;
- stop using it for targeted advertising or profiling.
Email privacy@discobeverage.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us:
- which right you are exercising;
- the state or country you live in;
- the email address or phone number you used with us, so we can find your records.
You may also write to Disco Beverage Inc., Attn: Privacy, at privacy@discobeverage.com.
Timing. We acknowledge within 10 days and respond substantively within 45 days. We may extend once where the law allows, and we will tell you why. Verified requests are free unless they are excessive or repetitive.
Limits. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, such as tax and licensing records, or a suppression record proving you asked us not to email you. We will tell you if an exception applies and which one.
Stop the emails
- Click unsubscribe at the foot of any marketing email, it takes effect immediately.
- Or email privacy@discobeverage.com with “Unsubscribe”.
We will keep your address on a suppression list so we do not accidentally email you again. That is the one record a deletion request will not remove, because removing it would let us re-add you by mistake.
Authorised agents
Someone else may submit a request for you. We will ask the agent for written, signed permission from you, and we may contact you directly to confirm you authorised it. An agent acting under a valid power of attorney does not need separate confirmation.
How we verify who you are
We match what you give us against what we already hold, normally by confirming the email address on file, and for access or deletion requests by asking you to confirm two data points we already have.
We will never ask you for a government ID, a social security number, a password or payment details to verify a privacy request. If you receive a message claiming to be from us and asking for those, it is not from us.
If we cannot verify you to the standard the law requires, we will tell you why and, where possible, treat the request as an opt-out of sale and sharing, which needs no verification.
If we say no
You can appeal. Reply to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line and we will have it reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision. We respond to appeals within the period your state requires, generally 45 or 60 days.
You can also complain to your state Attorney General, or (in California) to the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov. If you are in the UK or EEA, see section 12 of our Privacy Policy.
